Course Description
Get an insight into our traditional local beverage culture and find out exactly what we have been drinking growing up. Understand the potential inherent limitations of our traditional brewing method, and get enlightened on how they can be addressed and eliminated. Witness how brewing your favourite Kopi or Teh can be a breeze!
Course Outline (16 hours)
- Introduction to the local coffee scene and commonly-served local beverages
- Introduction to the roasting process of coffee beans used in traditional local coffee
- Fundamental concept of the function(s) of components (e.g. sugar, condensed milk, evaporated milk) used in local beverages
- Understanding the inherent limitations of traditional brewing method with flannel socks
- Brewing and preparing local Kopi and Teh using newly-innovated Kaffee Kultur methods for consistency and zero wastage

- An SSG Statement of Attainment (SOA) certificate will be issued if all minimum assessment requirements are met
